TBR Tuesday

to be read tuesday

After neglecting reading completely to work on NaNoWriMo last month, I’m hopping back into books in December with the following on my TBR (to be read) pile.

The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman:
Neil Gaiman is my favorite author, and I started reading this a few years ago, but never finished it. Since I’m on a comic kick,  I thought, why not? Plus, there is a character based on  Tori Amos in this series, and I adore Tori Amos.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O’Brien:
This is my all-time favorite children’s book, and I’m looking forward to reading it again. It’s such an adventurous story and the characters are really lovable. If you haven’t read it – READ IT! Read it with your kids or read it to nurture your inner child. I promise you’ll love it!

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin:
We are addicted to Game of Thrones at our house. I came late to the GoT party and didn’t start watching it until AFTER this last season was finished. I binge watched the entire series in less than a month. I’m intimidated by and a bit skeptical of the book series. The books are so long, and the series isn’t even finished yet. That’s a huge commitment of time and emotion in one book series, so I’ll read the first one and then decide.

GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso:
This book was on last month’s TBR pile and I didn’t get around to it, but I’m hearing great reviews and I’m loving self-helpy, personal development, girl power books right now. I also recommend You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero.

Have you read any of these? What did you think?

What is at the top of your TBR pile this month?
