My December no spend lasted 21 days.

My Ultamate Rewards anniversary rolled around and I had the opportunity to earn 5x my normal points on anything I purchased around Christmas. Then some family members sent me some Christmas money and I have one grandma in particular who is adamant that I don’t spend the money she sends on anything practical. “Remember, buy yourself something fun!” she always says.

I splurged on one giant Ulta purchase to knock some things off my wishlist and then earned enough points to get another, smaller order for $2.11. Between 20% off coupons, BOGO deals, and my Ultamate Rewards points, I saved over $100 on all of this. Stay tuned – I’m working on a post about how I save a ridiculous amount of money every time I shop at Ulta.

This really, truly is my last big splurge before the baby comes, so I decided to enjoy it. Don’t expect another giant haul video from me anytime soon! I’m onto car seats and onesies.

Check out the full haul video below. I’ve also listed all the products mentioned in the video by category (because there were so many!). Let me know if you want to see any specific reviews or tutorials using any of the things I got!

My skin has been giving me a lot of trouble lately with pregnancy acne and cold weather dryness, so I’ve been paying a lot more attention to skincare. I wanted to try the CeraVe face lotion that I saw in this video from Drugstore Maven and also a few night creams to hydrate my skin while I sleep.

I have a bit of a primer obsession lately – I want to try them all!!! I’ve especially been wanting to try one of the lavender-tinted brightening primers like the Becca one that I’ve linked below. I picked up its e.l.f. counterpart to test drugstore vs. high end. I also grabbed the regular version of the e.l.f. mineral primer and a Covergirl one that looked interesting.

Foundation, Concealer & BB Cream

Even after my disastrous experience with Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless foundation, I wanted to try their new full coverage foundation, since I don’t have a really full coverage foundation in my collection. I also decluttered my REALLY OLD BB cream and wanted to pick up a few more to try out. I tend to wear BB creams on days when I don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup but I still have redness or acne happening.

Ulta Full Coverage Liquid Concealer

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream

Physician’s Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm

Another thing I decluttered recently was my last pressed powder. I don’t know how old it was, but it was definitely past its prime. I picked up two more to test out. I really gravitate more toward pressed powders than loose powders.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Pressed Powder

Nyx HD Finishing Powder

I’ve done a couple videos where I said I never use bronzer because I don’t like looking tan (hail the pale skin!) but I’ve actually been experimenting a bit with light bronzers lately just to add some color to my face so I don’t look sickly.

I’d heard good things from one of the girls who works for me about the Burt’s Bees makeup line and their blush is just soooo pretty.

I won’t even get into my obsession with highlighters. Every girl needs like ten of them, right?

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter

Another product I swore I’d never use are brow pencils, pomades…anything but a gel. ‘Cause doing my brows is like…work. In the spirit of experimenting and getting out of my comfort zone, I actually did buy two brow pencils in this haul.

Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Pencil

Catrice Eyebrow Stylist Pencil

Eyeshadow Palettes

I told myself I wasn’t going to buy anymore eyeshadow palettes this year! Seriously, I have an insane amount of eyeshadow. Thank God this stuff lasts for a few years because I don’t know how I’ll ever go through it all. I had heard the Nyx Warm Neutrals palette was a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette that I’ve been eyeing up and I’ve also become obsessed with Sleek palettes lately, but the Too Faced PB&J palette has been on my wishlist FOREVER and it was the most expensive thing I bought with my Ultamate Rewards points, which means I didn’t actually pay anything for it – score!

Nyx Warm Neutrals Ultimate Shadow Palette

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette

Sleek Makeup Cream Tea Palette

Another thing I just threw away. I didn’t realize mascara goes “bad” so fast, but the last thing I need is a really fun eye infection, so I picked up a few. The Covergirl one came free with some of the other stuff I bought. The Monsieur Big mascara from Lancome is a replacement for the one I’d gotten in Ipsy and had been using almost daily. I love that stuff! I bought the travel size because I never go through the full product before it gets icky.

Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara

Got some more Nyx Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks because I just love them and some repair balm ’cause I have to keep stuff on my lips at all times or I bite them. I like to put a really thick lip balm on before bed to moisturize while I sleep. Whatever the YouTuber secret to perfect, creaseless lips is, I can’t figure it out. I’m hoping it’s a good lip primer because I just bought one from MAC.

Skinfix Minty Mint Lip Repair Balm

There were a few items I got that didn’t fit into other categories. I really needed some eye makeup remover and had used the Ulta brand before. I also got some nail polish for Christmas, and while my nails really aren’t something I concern myself with often, I painted them rose gold the other day (they’re actually really pretty!) and didn’t have any nail polish remover to take it off once it starts chipping, which it always does because I’m super hard on my hands. I also needed more brush cleaner and a few extra beauty sponges.
