Ipsy is absolutely my favorite subscription every month – for $10 I get full-size and BIG trial size products from brands that I’ve actually heard of (I’m looking at you and your weird pricey brands, Birchbox). My favorite thing about Ipsy though is that it’s actually worth my time to fill out the beauty profile and reviews every month – because they really do tailor the bags to my preferences!

That said, this month was…off. The products weren’t bad and I love the bag itself, but it was just a strange assortment of things I wouldn’t have picked to send together. Nonetheless, there are a few gems and even though this is a 3/5 star bag for me, I’m looking forward to all my 2018 bags.

Check out the video and product descriptions below for my thoughts on this month’s odd bag and get your own Ipsy awesomeness here.

Tony Moly The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream

I love Tony Moly and green tea, but to be honest… I HATE the name Watery Cream. It sounds like diarrhea. Nonetheless, I’m up for trying out this moisturizer. I’ll let you know if it’s a fave or a flop in a future review.

OFRA Ipsy Unzipped Liquid Lipstick

This pretty, deep rose-colored liquid lipstick is definitely a hit for me this month. I haven’t tried it to check out its staying power or formula, but the color is one I’d wear every day and I LOVE anytime Ipsy sends me liquid lipsticks – no complaints!

Nyx Faux Blacks Eyeliner in Burnt Sienna

I am SO in love with this deep, bronzy brown liner. It’s a gel formula that would be great as regular eyeliner or for waterlining and it’s a color that isn’t too similar to anything I already have. I like the idea of the dark, faux blacks in general, so I’ll be checking out this product in other colors too. Bonus: It seems to be lasting – no smudging when I swatch and then run my fingers over it.

City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Eyeshadow in All Eyes on Me

This one was just OK for me. I received the same product in another color a few months ago and wasn’t crazy about the shade, so I’ve never even worn it. The more I swatch it, the more enamored I am with this purple, but the shimmer is EXTREME, so it’s not a daily pick for me. Nonetheless, I’ll try it and report back on the formula itself. It does swatch SUPER pigmented and shiny.

First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser

Another ‘just OK’ is this facial cleanser from First Aid Beauty. I’ve been wanting to try this brand, but I just bought a HUGE bottle of my favorite Neutrogena cleanser, so I didn’t really need this. It’s got antioxidant boosters in it and I’ll test it out, but it’s probably not a day-to-day product for me.

Global Beauty Care Charcoal Mud Mask

I redeemed Ipsy points to test out this charcoal mask. I’ve been doing facial masks twice a week and I like charcoal masks a lot… plus I can’t resist redeeming my points for extras!
